Over the weekend, MTN Nigeria’s Go Make A Difference (Go M.A.D.) message brought Abuja to life, encouraging citizens to take decisive action toward significant change. Young changemakers, spoken word poets, creatives, and regular Nigerians ready to utilize their voices to spark change were all present at the event, which was held at Papiee’s Meatro on Friday, 7th, 2025.
As a component of MTN’s national campaign, the activation inspired people to use their abilities, interests, and digital resources to make a difference in their local communities. Through engaging workshops and stimulating conversations, the Abuja activation gave entrepreneurs, changemakers, and Nigerians from various backgrounds a forum to exchange ideas and experiences on how to change the world.
Continuing, to promote development and action, attendees took part in brand engagements and education workshops, kahoot game sessions, Open Mic Night featuring Abuja’s best influencers and creatives, and networking opportunities. A community-driven impact presentation was one of the highlights, where people shared their transformational success stories and demonstrated how even modest, regular efforts may result in long-lasting change.
Ohwofasa Obazenu, Senior Manager, Sales and Trade Development North, MTN Nigeria, spoke about the program and highlighted its goal: “MTN’s Go M.A.D. is a movement that empowers Nigerians to act. Whether in business, education, or social impact, we want people to know that their bold steps can create a ripple effect of change.”
BrandSpur Telecom and Iat news report that the foundation of MTN’s Go M.A.D. campaign is the idea that digital resources and connectivity may hasten the transformation. Participants were urged to use online platforms to spread their ideas, connect with more people, and have an even greater impact using MTN data and digital solutions.
The Abuja activation served as a potent reminder that anything is possible with the right support and that change begins with one person, one idea, and one daring move as the campaign! Continues its journey throughout Nigeria.
