This week, Globacom, a telecommunications corporation, will sponsor CNN International’s magazine program African Voices Changemakers, which will feature reputable gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey and his equally skilled female colleague Mercy Chinwo.

On Saturday at 8.30 a.m., Larry Madowo’s 30-minute soar-away show will air on DSTV Channel 401. It will be repeated at noon on the same day. There will be two further repetitions on Sunday at 4:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., as well as one on Monday at 4:00 a.m. Next week, the broadcast schedule will remain the same.

BrandSpur entertainment and lifestyle news desk reports that stories of the duo’s rise to success and their lasting influence on the music industry will be shared by the audience. While Mercy Chinwo enchants her admirers with her voice, stage presence, and personality, Nathaniel Bassey’s musical abilities continue to garner notice both in person and online, particularly with The Halleluiah Challenge.

Nathaniel Bassey was born on August 27, 1981, and is a native of Akwa Ibom State. His songs, such as “Yahweh Sabaoth”, “Ebenezer”, “Tobechukwu”, “Imela”, “Onise Iyanu”, and “Olowogbogboro” as well as his humility have made him a well-known singer, trumpet player, and gospel songwriter.

Before moving to London to study politics and then music at the Middlesex University Summer School in the United Kingdom, he studied international relations and politics at the University of Lagos. He has since established himself as one of Nigeria’s most well-known and well-listened-to gospel preachers. He incorporates hymns, medleys, jazz, and worship into his music. In Victoria Island, Lagos, he serves as the pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, King’s Court.

Mercy Nnenda Chinwo-Blessed, on the other hand, was born on September 5, 1991. At the age of six, the Nigerian gospel singer, actress, and songwriter started performing in churches. She secured a recording deal with EeZee Conceptz in 2017, and in 2018 she dropped her debut track, “Excess Love.” She graduated from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI) with a degree in Human Resources Management. Among other honours, she received the Africa Gospel Music of the Year, CLIMA Africa Award 2022, and the AFRIMMA Awards’ Gospel Artiste of the Year in 2020.
