As the first music streaming service to allow fans to actively remix their favourite songs, Audiomack’s results are self-evident.
Over 260 million fan-made plays of tracks have been created by 30 million users since Audiomod, Audiomack’s built-in remix feature, was introduced in February 2024. Over the past year, usage has increased by 23%. BrandSpur entertainment news desk reports that the purpose of Audiomod is to be easy and enjoyable.
With Audiomod, listeners can personalise their experience by adjusting effects like speed and pitch and choosing from a variety of preset modes that are modelled after popular formats like nightcore. They have the option to share a remix they like with other Audiomack users directly after finding one.
The use of the Audiomod feature keeps growing as more tracks are made available. Particularly common are speed-based edits, which are either sped up or slowed down, and they represent the listening preferences influencing the remix culture of today. It embodies Audiomack’s idea that a music service can be more than just a file server and encourages artists, fans, and tastemakers to actively participate.
These days, Audiomod is one of the few genuinely innovative features available on a DSP. Fans can easily get involved and do more than just consume, and rightsholders still gain from it.
Current trends are in line with this interactive approach. From singing and playing instruments to playing in bands, almost half of the global consumers polled in 2025 either create music or intend to do so, according to MIDiA Research. Additionally, young listeners are driving the acceptance of remix culture: according to MIDiA’s “Music’s Instagram Moment” report, nearly one in four individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 listen to remixes of songs they enjoy at least once a month.
According to the co-founder and CMO of Audiomack, David Ponte: “Some platforms like to talk about how they are building more interactive, lean-in features, but we’re already doing it. We built something easy people could use, and hundreds of millions of fresh versions prove that they do.”
Furthering, with its ongoing development, Audiomack keeps creating tools that connect musicians and music lovers. In 2026, Audiomack Pro for Artists will be released, and the Audiomod catalogue keeps expanding as more rightsholders recognise the benefits of enabling fans to do more than just play tracks—they can also play with them.
