Mouka Limited has announced a change in its executive leadership with the appointment of Chief Oladimeji Adekunle Osingunwa as its new Managing Director, effective March 17, 2026. The appointment marks a new phase for the company as it positions itself for sustained growth and innovation in Nigeria’s competitive manufacturing sector.
The leadership change follows the exit of Mr Femi Fapohunda, whose resignation took effect on March 16, 2026, after a mutually agreed decision with the Board of Directors. Mouka’s board commended Fapohunda for steering the company through a difficult economic climate, strengthening its market position and maintaining operational stability during a period marked by inflationary pressure and supply chain disruptions.
Brandspur Brand News understands that under Fapohunda’s tenure, Mouka consolidated its leadership in the sleep solutions market, expanded its customer base and reinforced its reputation as one of Nigeria’s most trusted household brands. The Board described his leadership as steady and strategic, noting that the company emerged more resilient and competitive despite prevailing economic challenges.
Osingunwa, who joined Mouka in 2016 as Chief Commercial Officer, is widely recognised within the manufacturing and FMCG space for his results-driven leadership. Over the years, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s commercial strategy, strengthening its route-to-market operations and driving consistent revenue growth.
Before his appointment, Osingunwa built an extensive professional career across major multinational organisations, including Cadbury Nigeria Plc, now part of Mondelez International, SC Johnson and Twinning Ovaltine. His experience spans commercial strategy, brand development, sales leadership and market expansion, with a track record of delivering sustainable business performance.
The Board described Osingunwa as a leader with deep institutional knowledge and a strong people-focused management style. According to the company, his leadership philosophy centres on empowerment, accountability and continuous development, qualities seen as critical for guiding Mouka through its next phase of expansion.
Reacting to his appointment, Osingunwa said he was honoured to lead the company at a defining moment in its journey. He emphasised Mouka’s strong heritage, workforce and commitment to quality, adding that his focus would be on innovation, customer satisfaction and long-term value creation for stakeholders.
Mouka stated that the leadership transition does not signal a shift in its strategic direction. Instead, the company reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality sleep products while deepening market penetration and enhancing customer experience.
With over six decades of industry presence, Mouka remains Nigeria’s leading manufacturer of mattresses, pillows and sleep-related products. The company operates as a subsidiary of the Dolidol International Group and continues to invest in innovation, quality assurance and brand trust across its product lines.
