AXA Mansard Insurance Plc has renewed its partnership with Herconomy ahead of the Herconomy Conference 2026, reinforcing efforts to expand financial inclusion, strengthen women-led enterprises and improve access to economic opportunities for women across Nigeria.

The collaboration will see AXA Mansard headline the Enterprise Challenge segment of the conference, an initiative designed to provide funding, visibility and support for women-owned businesses through a competitive pitch process aimed at scaling viable ventures.

The Herconomy Conference, organised by the fintech platform Herconomy, has evolved into a major gathering for women professionals, entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders, with expectations to host over 1,000 participants from a community of more than 15,000 members focused on financial growth, career advancement and wealth creation.

Brandspur Banking News Desk reports that the renewed partnership builds on previous editions of the conference, where female entrepreneurs secured financial backing through structured competitions that rewarded innovation and business performance, demonstrating the platform’s role in supporting access to capital.

Winners from the 2025 edition included Opeyemi Adebisi of Pemnia Wellness, who received ₦1.5 million, Bilqis Idaro of Posh Meals, who secured ₦1 million as first runner-up, and Chimdiebube Orji of Springsentia, who received ₦500,000 as second runner-up.

AXA Mansard said the partnership aligns with its broader commitment to advancing women’s financial resilience by promoting access to financial literacy, business resources and networks that enable long-term economic participation.

Adebola Surakat, Chief Marketing Officer at AXA Mansard, noted that empowering women economically remains central to driving inclusive growth, adding that targeted initiatives that provide knowledge, protection and opportunities can help unlock greater productivity and financial stability among women.

She also referenced the company’s “AXA She Is In Charge” initiative, which focuses on delivering empowerment programmes, expert-led sessions and professional networking opportunities aimed at supporting women in building sustainable careers and businesses.

The Herconomy Conference 2026 is expected to focus on themes including wealth creation, career development and financial independence, bringing together thought leaders, policymakers and entrepreneurs to discuss strategies for improving women’s participation in the economy.

Through its continued involvement, AXA Mansard is positioning itself as a key player in supporting gender-focused financial initiatives, while leveraging partnerships like Herconomy to drive awareness, capacity building and access to capital for women-led enterprises.

The collaboration reflects a growing trend among financial and insurance institutions in Nigeria to align with platforms that promote inclusion, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment, particularly within underserved segments of the population.
