Ipnx Marks International Women’s Day 2026 With STEM Outreach, Mentorship And Women In Tech Advocacy

ipNX, a Nigerian information and communications technology company, has commemorated International Women’s Day 2026 with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting gender inclusion, supporting young girls in science and technology, and amplifying women’s participation in the digital economy.

The company’s activities, anchored on the theme “Give To Gain”, included school outreach programmes, a virtual knowledge-sharing session, and engagement with female students to encourage interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers.

Brandspur Brand News reports that ipNX visited Victoria Island Senior Secondary School in Lagos, where representatives hosted an interactive session with students to provide guidance on career opportunities in technology, while sharing practical insights into navigating the digital ecosystem.

The school, which benefits from ipNX’s free broadband connectivity under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, served as a focal point for inspiring young girls to explore technology-related disciplines and develop skills relevant to the evolving digital landscape.

During the outreach, ipNX emphasised the importance of early exposure, mentorship and access to resources as critical factors in bridging the gender gap in technology participation. The initiative also highlighted the company’s broader commitment to fostering digital inclusion through connectivity and education support.

Mary Falade, Account Manager at ipNX Business, noted that empowering young girls with the right guidance and opportunities is essential to building confidence and unlocking their potential in STEM fields. She encouraged participants to embrace learning, discipline and self-belief as pathways to future success.

In addition to the school engagement, ipNX hosted a virtual webinar featuring Dr Nadu Denloye, a seasoned technology leader and former Group Managing Director of Telnet Nigeria Limited, who delivered a keynote address focused on women’s leadership and impact in the technology sector.

The session, titled “Beyond Inclusion: Women Building Influence, Driving Impact And Accelerating Growth,” explored strategies for advancing women’s roles in Africa’s digital economy, while emphasising resilience, leadership and continuous development as key drivers of progress.

Folashade Efiong-Bassey, Group Executive Director, Corporate Services at ipNX, said the company remains committed to creating opportunities that enable women and young girls to thrive in STEM careers, noting that sustained investment in access, mentorship and support systems is essential for long-term inclusion.

She added that initiatives such as these align with ipNX’s vision of building a people-centred organisation that promotes innovation, expands access to technology and contributes to sustainable development across communities.

The International Women’s Day activities reflect a broader effort by ipNX to support diversity in the technology sector, while reinforcing its role in advancing digital literacy, gender equality and inclusive growth within Nigeria’s evolving tech ecosystem.
