
Lovelyn Okoye has been elevated to the role of Head of Sustainability at Seven-Up Bottling Company, marking a significant step in the company’s efforts to strengthen its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda.
In her new position, Okoye will oversee the development and execution of sustainability strategies, including environmental management systems, decarbonisation initiatives, and circular economy programmes. She will also lead ESG integration processes and ensure compliance with environmental standards across the organisation.
Brandspur Brand News reports that Okoye brings more than a decade of experience in sustainability, process improvement, and systems optimisation. Having previously served as Senior Sustainability Manager within the company, she has played a key role in advancing eco-friendly practices and embedding sustainability into business operations.
Speaking on her new role, she highlighted her commitment to promoting responsible environmental practices while expanding initiatives focused on regulatory compliance, sustainability leadership, and long-term environmental stewardship.
Okoye’s professional background spans several major organisations, including Nestlé Nigeria and Dangote Cement, where she contributed to sustainability and operational excellence initiatives.
She holds a Master of Business Administration from Ajayi Crowther University and has completed specialised sustainability training programmes, including studies on the Sustainable Development Goals and environmental policy frameworks from the University of Cambridge.
