Moniepoint Inc., a leading digital financial services provider in Africa, has officially kicked off the second cohort of its flagship DreamDevs Bootcamp, aimed at transforming high-potential engineering graduates into industry-ready professionals.
The initiative follows a nationwide call for applications in January 2026, which attracted over 9,000 aspiring tech talents. After a rigorous multi-stage selection process — including online technical assessments and in-person coding challenges — 20 top candidates were chosen to participate in the intensive nine-week programme.
Brandspur Brand News reports that DreamDevs is designed to bridge Africa’s tech talent gap by equipping participants with practical skills and real-world experience. The bootcamp emphasizes core engineering competencies, covering Java object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, Spring Boot API development, and cloud infrastructure.
Delivered in partnership with Semicolon Africa, the program provides participants direct exposure to Moniepoint’s engineering environment, allowing them to engage with internal teams and gain hands-on experience in building and maintaining large-scale financial systems. At the end of the bootcamp, standout performers will earn six-month internship placements, with the strongest candidates eligible for full-time roles.

Participants expressed excitement about joining the programme, citing the opportunity to work on scalable products and gain insights into high-impact engineering practices. DreamDevs complements Moniepoint’s broader talent development initiatives, including HatchDev — in collaboration with NITHub Unilag — and the Moniepoint Women-in-Tech program, now in its sixth year.
Aligned with the federal government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) initiative, the DreamDevs Bootcamp reinforces Moniepoint’s commitment to cultivating a skilled workforce capable of driving Africa’s digital economy while supporting the growth of small businesses and enterprises across the continent.
