Bobo Food And Beverages Partners AI4Africa To Train One Million Young Africans In AI Skills In 2026

Bobo Food and Beverages has partnered AI4Africa to support a continent-wide initiative aimed at equipping one million young Africans with artificial intelligence skills, as the technology movement unveiled a 120-day campaign designed to expand digital literacy and encourage youth-led innovation across Africa.

The partnership was announced in Lagos during the official launch of AI4Africa, an initiative spearheaded by technology strategist Adeola Eka. The programme seeks to position African youths as creators of AI-driven solutions rather than simply users of emerging technologies, with a strong focus on practical learning, innovation and problem-solving.

AI4Africa also introduced its “100 Kids in 10,000 Schools” project, alongside a 120-Day AI Revolution campaign scheduled to commence this month. The campaign will feature educational content across podcasts, television and other digital platforms to increase AI awareness and accessibility among young people. According to Brandspur Brand News, the initiative is expected to promote technology education while encouraging wider participation in Africa’s growing digital economy.

As part of the collaboration, Bobo Food and Beverages will support the Boboliscious Summer Camp, an experiential learning programme designed to expose children to artificial intelligence through interactive challenges and real-world problem-solving exercises. The company said the partnership aligns with its commitment to youth development by helping participants build innovation, creativity and leadership skills from an early age.

Organisers believe Africa’s large youth population presents an opportunity to accelerate home-grown AI innovation capable of addressing local socio-economic challenges. The initiative also aims to inspire a new generation of technology entrepreneurs and digital creators who can compete globally while developing solutions tailored to African communities.

Beyond education, AI4Africa disclosed plans to pursue an ambitious Guinness World Records attempt involving ten AI-related records within a 24-hour period. The organisers said the effort is intended to showcase Africa’s growing capabilities in artificial intelligence and reinforce the continent’s ambition to play a more significant role in shaping the future of global technology.

The partnership comes amid increasing investment in artificial intelligence education across Africa, as governments, private companies and technology organisations intensify efforts to prepare young people for careers in an increasingly AI-driven global economy.
