The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) will hold its 54th Annual General Meeting from October 5 to 7, 2026, with the three day event set to feature a major exhibition of locally made products and discussions on Nigeria’s industrial future.
The AGM will take place at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, where manufacturers, government officials, policymakers, investors and other industry stakeholders are expected to discuss ways of strengthening Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.
A major feature of the programme will be the Made in Nigeria Exhibition, MiNE 2026, which will run throughout the three days and remain open to members of the public. Brandspur Brand News reports that the exhibition is designed to showcase locally manufactured goods, innovations and industrial capabilities while encouraging greater patronage of Nigerian products.
The exhibition is also expected to provide manufacturers with opportunities to build business connections and demonstrate their ability to serve both domestic and export markets.
The second day of the AGM will centre on a public session, the sixth Adeola Odutola Lecture and a presidential luncheon. The session will focus on the theme, “Leveraging National Industrial Policy to Position Nigeria as Africa’s Industrial Hub.”
Dr Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, former Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, UNIDO, will deliver the Adeola Odutola Lecture as the Distinguished Guest Speaker.
Discussions during the public session will examine Nigeria’s industrial policies and how the country can better use its resources, market opportunities and entrepreneurial capacity to develop a stronger manufacturing base.
The programme will also address emerging technologies, including smart and additive manufacturing, and their potential relevance to the development of Nigeria’s industrial sector.
MAN President, Otunba Francis Meshioye, said Nigerian manufacturers had continued to operate with resilience despite the difficulties confronting businesses. He described manufacturing as a fundamental pillar of a resilient economy.
The third day will feature the private session of the 54th AGM, which will be restricted to members of the association.
MAN Director General, Segun Ajayi Kadir, also called for continued media attention to the sector, saying accurate and independent reporting remained important in examining the challenges facing manufacturers and highlighting developments within the industry.
With the MiNE 2026 exhibition open to the public throughout the AGM, the event will provide an opportunity for Nigerians to see products and innovations from local manufacturers while industry leaders deliberate on policies, technology and strategies for expanding the country’s industrial capacity.
