LG Electronics has emerged as Nigeria’s Most Trusted Electronic Brand at the 2026 Consumer Value Awards after securing 57.1 per cent of the consumer and citizen votes in the television category.
The recognition came at the fifth edition of the awards organised by BrandXchange, with the voting process placing consumers at the centre of the selection of winning brands.
Brandspur Brand News reports that the result gives LG another major recognition in 2026, adding to the company’s growing list of accolades for its products, innovation and consumer-focused approach.
Paul Mba, Head of Corporate Marketing at LG Electronics Nigeria, said the award reflects the confidence Nigerian consumers have placed in the brand. He said the company views trust as something built through consistent product quality, innovation and attention to consumer needs.
The Consumer Value Awards were established around the principles of Consumer Voice, Consumer Choice and Consumer Value. According to the organisers, the platform is designed to give consumers and citizens a stronger role in how brands and institutions are assessed.
Akonte Ekine, Convener of the Consumer Value Awards, said the initiative seeks to encourage brands, institutions and government to pay closer attention to the people they serve.
For LG, the Nigerian recognition comes shortly after another international achievement. The electronics company was named Best Brand of IFA 2026 at the second annual IFA Innovation Awards.
The latest Nigerian award therefore adds a consumer-voted recognition to the company’s recent global industry acknowledgement, giving LG recognition at both the local consumer level and an international technology platform.
The 57.1 per cent vote recorded in the television category also highlights the role of consumer participation in determining the outcome of this year’s Consumer Value Awards.
LG’s latest recognition comes as the company continues to position innovation, product quality and consumer experience as central elements of its brand proposition in Nigeria.
