The Bank of Industry (BOI) has launched MyBOI, a new digital platform designed to make it easier for businesses to access the bank’s financing facilities without relying as heavily on physical branch visits.
The portal, which went live at noon on Friday, October 2, 2026, allows existing and prospective customers to register, complete onboarding and assessments, submit loan applications and supporting documents, and monitor the progress of their requests through web and mobile channels.
For Nigerian businesses seeking development finance, the platform is intended to reduce some of the administrative hurdles associated with accessing funding. The Brandspur Banking News Desk reports that MyBOI provides access to both BOI’s conventional financing and its Non-Interest Banking facilities.
BOI Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Olasupo Olusi, said the initiative was designed to change how businesses interact with the development finance institution, with a particular focus on reducing avoidable delays.
He said faster and simpler access to financing could help businesses receive funding at the point when it would have the greatest impact, while also improving the overall customer experience.
The bank said MyBOI operates primarily as a self-service platform. Customers can use the portal to complete key stages of the financing process, while frequently asked questions and user manuals have also been provided to assist applicants.
However, BOI warned that using the digital platform would not automatically guarantee faster approval. It said processing timelines would depend on applicants providing complete and accurate information and documents, as well as meeting the relevant eligibility requirements.
Customers have also been advised to use only BOI’s official website and the authorised MyBOI application available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The bank cautioned against accessing the service through unverified links or sharing passwords, one-time passwords and other login credentials with third parties.
Those who need additional assistance can contact BOI through its official customer service channels or seek support at Customer Support Desks in its state offices across the country.
BOI also clarified that customers with financing applications submitted before the MyBOI launch should continue with the existing process rather than submit fresh applications through the new portal.
To manage the transition, the bank has established a post-launch hyper-care arrangement and a MyBOI Situation Room. The measures are intended to monitor platform performance, cybersecurity, customer experience and the movement of applications while allowing emerging problems to be addressed promptly.
BOI is Nigeria’s development finance institution and provides financial and business support to enterprises, with its mandate covering the establishment, expansion, diversification, modernisation and rehabilitation of businesses. Its financing activities are also linked to broader objectives including job creation, import substitution, poverty reduction and economic diversification.
