Turkish Airlines Increases Lagos Flights to 10 Weekly From December 2026

Turkish Airlines will increase its flights between Istanbul and Lagos from seven to 10 per week from 11 December 2026, giving passengers travelling between Nigeria, Türkiye and other international destinations more options for their journeys.

The expansion will add three weekly services to the route, strengthening the airline’s Nigerian operations as it responds to growing demand for travel between Lagos and Türkiye. Passengers connecting through Istanbul will also have more opportunities to access destinations across the carrier’s international network.

The Brandspur Brand News Desk reports that the latest increase follows the expansion of Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul–Abuja service to seven weekly flights in June 2026. Together, the changes strengthen connections between Nigeria and the airline’s wider network across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.

For Nigerian travellers, the additional frequencies could offer greater flexibility when planning business trips, holidays and onward international connections. More weekly departures can also provide additional options for passengers coordinating connecting flights, although schedules and fares will depend on individual travel dates and availability.

Turkish Airlines operates a network spanning hundreds of destinations worldwide. The carrier says its global reach includes more than 350 destinations, supported by a fleet of over 560 passenger and cargo aircraft.

Passengers travelling in Business Class and connecting through Istanbul can also access the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge at Istanbul Airport, adding another facility to the airline’s offering for eligible connecting travellers.

Tickets for the additional Lagos services are available through the airline’s official website, mobile application, sales offices and authorised travel agencies. Travellers are advised to check the published schedule for their intended departure dates before making bookings.

Founded in 1933 with five aircraft, Turkish Airlines is a member of the Star Alliance network. Its expanded Lagos schedule adds capacity to one of Nigeria’s key international air links and gives passengers more weekly departure options from December.
