AXA Mansard Insurance Plc. (the Company) wishes to notify The Nigerian Stock Exchange (The Exchange), esteemed shareholders, stakeholders and the public that the Board of Directors of the Company has unanimously approved the appointment of Mr Sohail Ali as an Executive Director of the Company. His appointment has also been approved by the National Insurance Commission.
The board also unanimously approved the resignation of Mrs Karima Silvent, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from May 8, 2019. The Board and Management of AXA Mansard Insurance Plc. commends Mrs Karima Silvent for her leadership and overall contribution to the growth of the Company during her tenure on the Board.
Mr. Sohail Ali is a UK qualified Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries with over 15 years’ experience in consultancy, sales and operations in the Life, Pensions and Investment sectors. He joined AXA Egypt in 2008 and was responsible at different stages for managing the P&L of the Life & Savings business, actuarial, compliance, internal audit, legal, risk management, underwriting and claims functions.
He has been appointed as Executive Director overseeing the Actuary Division. The Board and Management of AXA Mansard Insurance plc are confident that, with his wealth of experience, Sohail will add great value to the Board.
