DKT Nigeria Continues To Distribute Family Planning Products

0

With the sole purpose of ensuring that women continue to have access to family planning and reproductive health products and services, irrespective of their location and the restrictions on movement, DKT has made adequate arrangements to have pharmacies and hospitals well stocked.  DKT equipped her field force personnel with face masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizers, disposable gloves and with strict instructions to observe the COVID-19 preventive measures, including that of social distancing. Each personnel maintains optimum hygiene practices while delivering products for the safety of their customers, the community and themselves.

These activities are in line with the directives from the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that exempts DKT Nigeria from the restrictions of movement during the COVID-19 pandemic. But despite our humanitarian efforts, DKT has encountered numerous challenges such as overzealous police and army officers, increases in the cost of transporting and distributing stock to customers, state border closures that make transporting goods from one state to another difficult and prolonged delays of custom clearance at port, are some of the general supply chain bottlenecks we are facing.

Despite all these challenges, DKT remains committed to distributing high-quality and affordable contraceptive products to all parts of the country including every remote and hard-to-reach region during these trying times.
