COVID-19: ASUU Donates Medical Supplies to Taraba State

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University Chapter on Tuesday donated medical supplies to the Taraba State government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chairperson of the Union, Dr Samuel Shiikaa while making the donation said the medical supplies were meant to support the state government’s efforts in the fight against the pandemic.

Shiikaa commended the state government and the state’s task force committee on COVID-19 for their diligent work in the first against the virus.

He noted that the fight against COVID-19 was a collective one that should not be left in the hands of the government alone.

Receiving the materials on behalf of the state government, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Mr Ebenezer Apakye thanked members of the union for the donation, saying government need to be supported in the fight against the virus.

He said the donation will help the government in the fight against the pandemic in the state.
