According to Access Bank Plc, it has no business or affiliation with Access Capital Investment Platform, an online investment entity.
Sunday Ekwochi, Access Bank’s company secretary, disclosed this Wednesday in a corporate filing on the Nigeria Exchange (NGX).
Access Bank stated that it has notified the appropriate law enforcement and regulatory agencies of the development.
“The management of Access Bank Plc and its subsidiaries wishes to inform the public that our attention has been drawn to an online investment entity known and described as “Access Capital Investment Platform,” which has been soliciting members of the public to invest in its Access Capital Investment products promising mouth-watering returns on investment,” according to the statement.
“By issuing this disclaimer, Access Bank Plc wishes to expressly disassociate itself, affiliates, subsidiaries, and/or proxies from the activities, contracts, claims, or business engagements of Access Capital Investment Platform.”
“Access Capital Investment Platform is not an affiliate or subsidiary of Access Bank Plc, and anyone who invests in any of the Access Capital Investment packages/products does so at their own risk, as Access Bank Plc is not responsible for any loss, damages, or refund that may result.”
“This disclaimer has been distributed to relevant law enforcement and regulatory agencies.”
