The goal of Cornerstone Insurance Plc’s “Oga Boy” program, according to the company, is to place apprentices after they are emancipated from their employers.

This is all the while the insurance company opened a branch office in Lagos State’s Alaba International Market in Ojo. Speaking over the weekend at the branch’s opening in Ojo, Lagos, Cornerstone Insurance Plc’s managing director, and CEO, Stephen Alangbo, emphasised that many business owners have had falling outs with their apprentices because they can’t seem to work things out when the apprentices finish their training, adding that “Oga Boy” was created to address these issues.

He emphasized that the product would help business owners save money for the apprentice’s settlement and mentioned other products offered by the company, such as savings products, fire and theft insurance, and personal and group life insurance, which would pay benefits to policyholders’ beneficiaries upon their death. He said that in addition to education goods, which would allow parents to save for their children’s education, annuity products will be made available to the public to assist them save for a comfortable retirement.

He revealed that Cornerstone pays claims on time and emphasised that the company has no unpaid claims on file.

According to Alangbo, the purpose of opening the Alaba Market branch was to make insurance benefits more accessible to the general public.

Speaking further: “The company planned to open five branch offices this year, stressing that the Alaba branch office makes it the second, having opened the Lekki, Lagos office last week.”

He emphasized that the branch would offer the firm’s need-based products to people in the surrounding area and that the company is in the area to safeguard and flourish the people.

He pledged that the company would provide wealth to the people by making sure their claims were settled quickly, assisting in getting them back to where they were before experiencing a loss.

In line with his submissions, Charles Nwachukwu, General Manager of Business Development at Cornerstone Insurance Plc, stated that the branch office was positioned in Alaba International Market to secure and advance businesses.

He, however, said that the market produced $4.7 billion worth of enterprises in the previous year and that a market with such potential shouldn’t be uninsured, BrandSpur business and economy news reports.
