Kuda and Vendy, a WhatsApp marketplace, have partnered to allow Kuda Pay ID to be used as a payment method by Vendy customers.

When purchasing from Vendy vendors on WhatsApp, customers can use a Kuda Pay ID to conduct cardless payments because Vendy has integrated Kuda as a payment provider. Customers can safeguard their financial information and drastically lower the chance of card fraud or unauthorized purchases by authorizing a direct debit using a Kuda Pay ID. Nigerians will find it easier than ever to shop on one of the most widely used messaging platforms in the world thanks to the partnership, which aims to streamline payment procedures for both customers and sellers.

Musty Mustapha, Managing Director of Kuda Microfinance Bank, discussed the partnership, saying: “Partnering with Vendy is an important step in expanding our secure payment solutions to a wider audience. Kuda Pay ID helps our customers make transactions quickly and safely without exposing their card details. As we continue to innovate, we’re focused on delivering user-friendly financial solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Kayode Disu, Vendy’s CEO, further stated: “We are excited to integrate Kuda’s secure payment technology with Vendy, making it easier and more secure for people to shop and pay their favourite sellers on WhatsApp. Over 150 million Africans use WhatsApp to connect with friends and family across borders, making it Africa’s most utilised social media platform. Charity begins at home, they say, and therefore, our goal is to make Commerce as Simple as a Chat for everyone.”
