Princess on a Hill, Showmax’s next Nigerian Original drama, will be screened on Thursday, November 7, 2024, marking its debut at the 13th Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

The narrative of Zara (Onyinye Odokoro), a young executive thrust into a high-stakes corporate setting after winning a reality program, is told in Princess on a Hill, a limited series co-created by Abiola Sobo and Tolu Ajayi.

Zara faces off against the ruthless CEO, Moyosore Lawson (Bimbo Manuel). Zara has to swiftly adjust to her new reality after being thrust into the competitive and sophisticated world of high-stakes business, where fierce rivalry and power battles are commonplace. The show demonstrates Showmax’s dedication to presenting real African stories while capturing the intricacies of ambition and power, and it will host key stakeholders in the industry.

Continuing, MultiChoice, Showmax’s parent company, will be hosting a session at this year’s event with the theme “Crafting Local Content for Global Success.” To investigate methods for creating TV content that appeals to a wide range of international viewers, the session will emphasize the significance of local content in the global entertainment environment.
