Showmax, Nigeria’s top streaming video-on-demand service, has launched its first-ever Firewood Jollof Festival in an exciting mix of premium entertainment and gastronomic excellence in association with Firewood Rice Nigeria.

Set to transform cuisine festival experiences in Nigeria, this first event was held on Saturday, 30 November 2024, at Muri Okunola Park on Victoria Island, Lagos. Attendees were eligible to get one to three months of Showmax Entertainment mobile plans to stream, view, and binge a large library of local and foreign films, series, kids’ shows, and documentaries from the convenience of a mobile device for every firewood jollof meal purchased at the festival.

The celebration marks another audacious move in Showmax’s goal to combine real Nigerian traditional events with world-class entertainment. Anticipated to attract more than 5,000 people, this elite event promised an unparalleled combination of culinary arts, digital video entertainment, and cultural celebration.
