UBA Names Henry Dottey New Anglophone West Africa’s Regional Head, Marketing & Corporate Communication

Henry Nii Dottey, a specialist in marketing and corporate communications, has been promoted to UBA Group‘s new role of Regional Head, Marketing & Corporate Communication, Anglophone West Africa.

Before being promoted, he served as UBA Ghana Limited’s Country Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, where he oversaw the strategy and implementation of CSR, public affairs, stakeholder engagement, and corporate and brand communications for the industry leader in digital and electronic banking.

Dottey is a seasoned communications and corporate relations specialist with strong cross-industry experience in the private financial services, government, and mainstream media sectors. With a strong track record and notable career accomplishments in corporate communications and government relations, this highly driven and self-motivated senior manager has a vision for excellence and a strong desire to deliver through a team of achievers in a competitive and world-class business environment.

Dottey can handle reputations and conflicts and establish a strong brand in a competitive setting. He has more than 20 years of real-world expertise in branding, media, corporate communication, marketing, public relations, and marketing strategy.

Dottey began working as a broadcast journalist at Citi FM. He has also held positions at the Ghana Revenue Authority, Dominion University College, Metropolitan, Media General Ghana, Student Loan Trust Fund, Insel Communications Limited, VAT House Services, and Institute of Public Relations Ghana. Since 2013, he has been chosen honorary secretary of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana, of which he is an approved member.

Dottey was appointed vice president of the institute in March 2020, a position he held until May 2024. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Ghana.
