
A new program called the Customer Refer & Win Promo was introduced by MoMo PSB, a division of MTN Nigeria.
Its goal is to give lifelong free airtime or data to devoted consumers who use MoMo and encourage their friends and family to do the same. This initiative is a component of MoMo PSB’s continuous efforts to improve digital banking for millions of Nigerians and expand financial inclusion.
MoMo customers who complete qualifying transactions and recommend friends and family to open, activate, or reactivate their accounts can enter to win one of the 11 lucky winners who will receive star prizes of airtime or data every month for 50 years, or one of the 110 lucky winners who will receive consolation prizes of airtime or data every month for a year, thanks to the “Refer & Win” promotion. Both new and current clients are eligible for the promotion, which supports the fintech’s objective to offer clients secure, profitable, and easy financial services.
Speaking about the project, MoMo PSB CEO, Phrase Lubega explained that the PSB “Customer Refer and Win” campaign is a way to reward devoted clients while encouraging easy and convenient transactions.
According to him: “This initiative is about giving back to our customers while promoting the ease and convenience of using MoMo for everyday transactions. By simply transacting on the platform, customers get the chance to enjoy free airtime and data for life, an offer that truly rewards their loyalty.”
Continuing, he claims that by making financial transactions easy, available, and profitable for all Nigerians, the company hopes to revolutionise banking. He said: “With initiatives like Refer & Win, we are not only incentivising our customers but also reinforcing our commitment to financial inclusion. We want every transaction on MoMo to be more than just a payment, it should be an opportunity to gain more value, convenience, and benefits.”
Customers must do qualifying transactions, including MoMo-to-MoMo transfers, other bank transfers, Pan African inbound and outbound remittance, bill payments, betting wallet top-ups, and the purchase of airtime or data, to be eligible. They must also encourage as many friends to establish accounts and follow suit. With each active referral, they instantly receive 100MB. Their chances of being one of the fortunate winners in the recurring draws are also increased by this action. From week two to week twelve, there will be a weekly electronic draw, and after the promotion period, 121 lucky winners will have been chosen.
BrandSpur banking and finance news desk reports that they are automatically entered into the promo with each eligible transaction, and winners are chosen through recurring drawings. The promo will run from March 18, 2025, to June 8, 2025, for a total of 12 weeks.
