Aptech Nigeria To Graduate Digital Skills Professionals At 2026 National Convocation

Aptech Nigeria is set to recognise a new cohort of technology professionals at its 2026 National Convocation as the training institution intensifies efforts to support Nigeria’s growing demand for skilled talent in the digital economy.

The convocation ceremony, scheduled for August 8, 2026, at the Sheraton Lagos, will bring together graduates, alumni, employers, education partners and technology industry stakeholders under the theme, One Milestone. Many Futures. The event will celebrate learners who have completed specialised training in technology and digital disciplines while promoting stronger links between education and industry.

The institution said the programme reflects its commitment to preparing graduates with practical, industry-relevant skills needed in today’s technology-driven economy, Brandspur Brand News reports. Areas of training include software development, cybersecurity, multimedia, digital creativity and other emerging technology fields that are increasingly in demand across Nigeria’s public and private sectors.

As digital transformation accelerates across industries such as financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing and government, the need for professionals with expertise in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics and software engineering continues to rise. The convocation is expected to highlight the role of career-focused technology education in addressing this skills gap.

The event will include graduation activities, alumni induction, networking opportunities, engagement with employers and industry leaders, as well as a scholarship draw that offers eligible participants a 50 per cent international scholarship. Graduates will also have opportunities to expand their professional networks and explore career and mentorship prospects.

Aptech Nigeria said eligible graduates from the 2022 academic session onward can participate upon completing the required registration process, while centres across the country are mobilising alumni ahead of the ceremony. The institution also announced complimentary guest passes for the first 100 confirmed registrants.

The company believes stronger collaboration between education providers and employers will be essential to developing the skilled workforce required for Nigeria to compete effectively in the global digital economy. It added that investments in digital infrastructure must be matched by sustained efforts to build human capital capable of driving innovation, entrepreneurship and long-term economic growth.
