The Iconic Brand Africa (TIBA) has opened nominations for the eighth edition of its Excellence Awards, with individuals, organisations and professional networks invited to put forward candidates whose work has demonstrated leadership, innovation and measurable impact.
The 2026 awards are scheduled for Saturday, November 14, at The Zone, Gbagada, Lagos, under the theme “Positioning for Influence, Leadership & Business Growth”. Nominations will close on August 31.
The latest edition features 25 award categories covering areas including entrepreneurship, leadership, personal branding, business, media, public relations, technology, healthcare, finance, law, academia, arts, sales and marketing. Brandspur Brand News reports that the breadth of the categories reflects TIBA’s focus on recognising contributions across a wide range of professional and economic sectors.
Among the awards are Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year, Outstanding CEO/Founder of the Year, Social Impact Award of the Year, Edu-Influencer of the Year and Leadership Award of the Year. There are also categories for corporate brands, researchers, media and public relations professionals, as well as specialists in finance, human resources, law, technology, healthcare, sales and marketing.
The research-focused categories include Outstanding Researcher of the Year and Research Innovation and Impact Award of the Year, while other honours will recognise achievements in branding and communication and public service.

Since its establishment, TIBA said the awards platform has recognised more than 800 leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and organisations. The annual initiative combines recognition with conversations around influence, leadership and business development.
TIBA founder Adeola Osideko said the awards are intended to bring attention to people and organisations whose contributions may not always attract widespread visibility but whose work has influenced businesses, communities and professional standards.
The organisation is encouraging members of the public, professional groups, businesses and individuals to nominate deserving candidates before the August 31 deadline. Nominees are expected to have demonstrated notable performance, leadership, innovation or impact within their respective fields.
The 2026 ceremony will culminate the year’s recognition programme, bringing together professionals and organisations from different sectors for an event centred on excellence, influence and sustainable business growth.
