Indomie has taken its consumer engagement campaign beyond supermarket shelves and kitchen tables, using a four-city festival tour to combine food, music and interactive games as it seeks to deepen connections with Nigerian consumers.
The 2026 edition of Indomie Palooza ended at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, on October 10 and 11, following earlier events in Abuja, Port Harcourt and Ibadan. The Lagos finale brought together food lovers, families, music fans and social media creators for a programme built around the theme, “Where Moments Meet Fun”.
For Dufil Prima Foods, the maker of Indomie, the tour reflects a strategy of creating experiences around a familiar household product. Brandspur Brand News reports that the campaign combined product sampling, entertainment and street activations to encourage consumers to interact with the brand beyond their usual mealtimes.
The approach began before the Lagos festival. On October 6, World Indomie Day, the brand took mobile kitchens, music and giveaways to BRT stations, markets and major junctions in areas including Ikorodu, Ajah, Oshodi, Ikeja, Oyingbo and Surulere. The activities helped build momentum ahead of the two-day stadium event.
Across the four cities, visitors could sample six noodle combinations inspired by popular Nigerian dishes, including Chicken Pepper Soup Indomie, Asun Indomie, Nkwobi Indomie, Indomie Africana and Gizdodo Indomie. The recipes offered different ways to serve the product while drawing on familiar local flavours.
Free sampling stations also gave guests the opportunity to try the combinations and leave feedback on a review board. Other attractions included table tennis, snooker, painting activities, a bouncy castle, a claw machine and a 360-degree video booth.
Music was another major draw at the Lagos finale. Lil Kesh performed on the first day, while 2Baba headlined the event. Shoday also performed, with hosts and content creators helping sustain audience engagement throughout the programme.
The tour followed Indomie’s earlier consumer initiatives, including its annual Children’s Day celebration, which the company said reached more than 100,000 children across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and other cities in May.
Speaking during the Palooza rollout, Ibrahim Isah, Indomie’s brand manager in Lagos, described the initiative as a platform for creating moments consumers would genuinely want to experience and share.
The campaign’s longer-term ambition is to establish Palooza as a recurring annual event. Its success as a marketing platform, however, will ultimately depend on whether the experiences translate into sustained consumer engagement beyond the festival grounds.
