Betpikr, a Nigerian sports betting and entertainment platform developed by Lagos-based company 247 Labs, has launched with plans to combine sports wagering, casino games and social interaction in one digital destination.
The platform unveiled Perliks Defination and Cubana White Lion as its brand ambassadors at a launch event in Lagos, as the company seeks to build recognition among Nigerian bettors through personalities familiar with its target audience.
According to the Brandspur Brand News Desk, Betpikr has been developed around the social habits of local betting communities, where sports fans exchange predictions, discuss match outcomes and share betting tips across messaging apps and online groups before placing wagers.
Chief Executive Officer Martin Akinola said the company designed the platform after studying the needs of betting communities. These included easier access to betting tips, ways to assess tipsters’ performance and opportunities for community owners to earn rewards as their audiences grow.
To address those needs, Betpikr features public rankings and performance records for tipsters, alongside an Autobet function that can automatically place selected bets when a chosen tipster places theirs. The platform also offers Watch Party and live-streaming features, head-to-head games and artificial intelligence-powered tips intended to assist users with their selections.
Its services extend beyond sports betting to casino games, virtual sports and exclusive betting markets. The company says its casino section includes more than 1,000 games, while its sportsbook covers international competitions, major European football leagues, Nigerian football and esports. Users can access the service through desktop and mobile websites, as well as a dedicated mobile application.
Betpikr also plans to attract and retain users through jackpots, weekly promotions, Super Boost offers and an Invite and Earn programme. Its language options include English, Nigerian Pidgin, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.
Akinola said the company chose to build its technology in Lagos rather than adopt a white-label platform developed by another provider. The approach, he explained, gives the team greater control over product development and allows it to respond to customer feedback as the business grows.
Chief Operating Officer Anjola Odunsi said the platform’s development involved more than creating betting features, pointing to the importance of payment systems, customer service, marketing and regulatory compliance. She disclosed that Betpikr is licensed by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority.
Odunsi also highlighted the platform’s responsible gaming measures, which allow users to set limits on deposits and betting activity over specified periods.
Cubana White Lion welcomed his appointment as a brand ambassador, citing the platform’s stated emphasis on transparency, trust, community participation and responsible betting. His appointment alongside Perliks Defination is intended to help the company connect with sports betting audiences and increase awareness of its services.
Betpikr is entering a competitive market in which users have multiple platforms to choose from. Its ability to deliver dependable services, reliable payouts, responsive customer support and effective safeguards for users will be important as it seeks to establish a lasting presence.
The launch marks the company’s formal entry into Nigeria’s betting and digital entertainment market, with its locally developed technology and community-focused features forming the centre of its strategy.
