The Coca-Cola Company has launched a refreshed global visual identity for its flagship Coca-Cola brand as it moves to create a more consistent consumer experience across the more than 200 countries and territories where its products are sold.

The updated branding retains the company’s most recognisable visual assets while refining their application across packaging, retail displays, digital platforms, vending machines and other consumer touchpoints. The phased rollout has already begun in selected international markets and will continue through 2027.

The rebranding reflects Coca-Cola’s long-term strategy to strengthen global brand recognition while maintaining familiar elements that consumers have associated with the soft drink for generations, Brandspur Brand News reports. The redesign places greater emphasis on the company’s signature red-and-white colour palette, the Dynamic Ribbon graphic, the Arden Square and the iconic Spencerian script.

As part of the refresh, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar is also receiving a new visual treatment designed to improve product distinction. The updated packaging features more prominent Zero Sugar branding, a black Dynamic Ribbon and black bottle caps on PET packaging to help consumers easily identify the sugar-free variant.

To support implementation across multiple regions, Coca-Cola has introduced a centralised Brand Center alongside artificial intelligence-powered design tools that will enable its internal teams and creative partners to apply the refreshed identity consistently across markets and marketing channels.

Three international design agencies collaborated on the project. Jones Knowles Ritchie led the overall brand identity development, The Superultrarare redesigned the packaging system, while Brody Associates created the updated typography.

Company executives said the refreshed identity is intended to deliver a unified brand experience wherever consumers encounter Coca-Cola, while ensuring the company’s visual presentation evolves in line with changing consumer expectations without losing its distinctive heritage.

The rollout has commenced across parts of Europe, the Middle East and India, with Latin America and additional Asian markets scheduled to follow as implementation progresses over the coming months.

The latest redesign represents Coca-Cola’s most significant global brand presentation update since its previous worldwide identity standardisation initiative introduced in 2021, reinforcing the company’s commitment to maintaining a strong and recognisable presence across international markets.
