inDrive Pledges N132m For Driver Rewards In Lagos, Abuja

inDrive has committed more than N132 million to reward drivers participating in a new campaign across Lagos and Abuja, with 916 prizes up for grabs between October 5 and December 16, 2026.

The rewards include two cars, four full academic year school fee awards, 40 smartphones, 40 television sets and 830 shopping vouchers. Winners will emerge through six live broadcast draws during the campaign period.

Brandspur Brand News reports that the two cars will not be allocated through the regular draws. Instead, they will go to the drivers who complete the highest number of rides throughout the entire campaign.

Drivers can qualify by reaching the platinum tier, with each completed ride counting as an entry. The more rides a qualifying driver completes, the greater the number of entries available for the draws.

The campaign gives drivers in Lagos and Abuja an opportunity to turn their regular activity on the platform into additional chances to receive high value rewards. Eligibility requirements and the full terms of participation are available through the inDrive app.

Country Manager, inDrive Nigeria, Timothy Oladimeji, said the initiative was designed to create additional value for drivers and strengthen the relationship between the platform and its driver community.

He said the campaign was consistent with inDrive’s approach of giving drivers greater control over their work, including the ability to agree fares with passengers and retain more of their earnings through the platform’s low service fee.

The reward structure also places ride activity at the centre of the campaign. While drivers must first reach the platinum tier to qualify, continued participation increases their number of entries and, consequently, their opportunities in the live draws.

For drivers operating in two of Nigeria’s busiest urban markets, the campaign combines an incentive to remain active on the platform with tangible rewards ranging from household items and shopping vouchers to education support and vehicles.

The initiative forms part of inDrive’s peer to peer mobility model, under which passengers and drivers negotiate fares directly, while the company operates the platform connecting both sides of the transaction.
