After more than 17 years in the industry, renowned Financial Advisor and Corporate Communications Specialist, Helen Ogboh has announced her retirement from FirstBank, a prominent financial institution.
Helen announced this on her LinkedIn page, saying that thus far, it has been a “Truly enriching experience.”
According to the post: “Some call it retirement; someone once called it refiring, and I prefer the latter refiring. Yes, indeed, I am refiring after a wonderful career spanning seventeen and a half years at FirstBank. It was a truly enriching experience.
“Friday, November 15, 2024, didn’t pass unnoticed. It was a remarkable day for me, and I am deeply grateful to my family, colleagues, and friends who celebrated this major milestone in various ways: breakfast meetings, private dinner gatherings, a large party with colleagues and some customers in attendance, a Thanksgiving service in church, and recognition by the Bank’s management during the MPR session held that same day. Notably, November 15 was both my birthday and my last meeting at FirstBank, making it all the more significant,” she penned.
From July 2014 to November 2024, Helen served as FirstBank’s Group Head of Corporate Banking Directorate until her retirement. From January 2010 to July 2014, she also held the position of Head of Employees, Transformation, and Culture. From May 2007 to January 2010, she remained at FirstBank as the Head of Brands.
